We had the pleasure of being a part of the Run for the Water 10-miler, 5K and kids K benefiting the Gazelle Foundation in Austin on Saturday. All proceeds from the Run for the Water directly benefit the Foundation and it’s charitable efforts in Burundi and central Texas.
Kids with jugs on their heads lined the start of the race to represent what children in Burundi have to do every day. Each entry to the Run for the Water race allows one person in Burundi to drink clean water for the rest of their lives. With more than 2000 runners participating between the 5k and 10-miler this year, it was best turnout this race has seen. We think this is only the beginning of many more years of success.
Caution: Free HoneyMilk Zone! Judging from the picture above, we’d say we picked up a few HoneyMilk fans. We were happy to be at the Run for the Water race and are already looking forward to being more involved next year.

I had never tried Athlete’s HoneyMilk until the finish line at the Run For The Water 10 miler this weekend and it’s AMAZING! I had the chocolate and it’s SO good! I’m a new fan! Since we were around at the end of the race my friends got a case each to take home! I was too tired to carry one so I passed it up but now that I know how good it is I’m hating myself.
I can’t wait to try some new flavors. Thanks for your support of a race for such a good cause!
