Biography

Riding bikes since the age of 16, cyclist Tom Danielson was born and raised in East Lyme, Connecticut. His early days also saw him riding motocross and running track in high school.

Tom began road racing in 1994 and represented the US on the Junior Worlds team in 1996 in Australia.  As a young and promising rider, Tom went on to embrace the challenge and discipline of professional road cycling which has led him through successful racing relationships with highly acclaimed teams such as Team Saturn, Fassa Bortolo, Discovery Channel and presently Garmin-Cervélo.

Tom holds the ascent records for both the Race to the Clouds competition at Mt. Washington in New Hampshire and the Mt. Evans Hill Climb in Colorado. He finished 3rd overall at the 2011 Tour of California, 4th at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado and 8th overall at the 2011 Tour de France.

Tom lives in Boulder, Colorado, and Girona, Spain, with his wife Stephanie and son Steven Slade. He holds a degree in Business Marketing and Psychology from Fort Lewis College in Colorado.
